About Us

If…then is a UK-based company which has been active in Critical Thinking for ten years. During this time, its services and products have been used extensively in various organisations, including schools, colleges, universities, and businesses.


Staff

Dr Roy van den Brink-Budgen

Dr Roy van den Brink-Budgen is very widely known in the field of Critical Thinking. His experience is, in many ways, unrivalled. It includes the production of assessment materials in the UK over many years (during which time, he was a Chief Examiner in the subject for the formative years of its assessment). He has extensive experience in training teachers both in the UK and in Singapore. He has also taught thousands of students in various countries over the past fifteen years, at all levels of education (primary, secondary, college, university, and in prison education). He has produced innovative resources, and is renowned for effectively linking creative and critical thinking. He is the author of many articles and books on the subject. Indeed his critical thinking books (and other resources) are used in many countries in the world.

Annie van den Brink-Budgen

Annie van den Brink-Budgen is the Office Manager. She has worked in both commercial and educational organisations for many years. This work has included senior administrative positions as well as teaching and development of educational resources.

Adam van den Brink-Budgen

Adam van den Brink-Budgen is the Sales and Marketing Director. He has considerable experience in a range of different companies, including a highly-regarded property company. He is also a renowned designer and maker of high quality furniture, with his work being sold in many countries in Europe.

Simon Phillips

Simon Phillips has been the head teacher of a large primary school for the past 7 years. He has been teaching since qualifying in 1993. He has worked in a variety of schools throughout Northamptonshire and Suffolk, including village and inner city schools. He is passionate about teaching and the need to have a purposeful and flexible curriculum which develops children’s skills for life. He has a good reputation for this and is often visited by other schools or agencies. His last Ofsted report described him as ‘an excellent head teacher’.
